Reading Sites

Here are some more favorites:

I used this with 1st-3rd grade. This is a great way to informally assess author's purpose or even just review it. As you go through you'll see ways to adapt it for your group, and the kids love the basketball game at the end!

Ever wished you had some interactive reading comprehension passages with questions at the end? Now you do....3rd-5th grade level, but if you are 6th-8th check it out. It may have some passages that will work for you.

I haven't checked out every link on this site, but what I found in the comprehension one was great. Links are divided by topic and concept under comprehension and may be under some of the links as well. Check it out! I'm sure you'll find something you can use...

More to come soon!

A little bit of everything.......

Here are some more:
Before anyone starts, yes I know there is a new ARMT coming out(at time of posting the new specs are not out yet), but check this resource out. It is very organized and I think once the new specs finally come out(or why you are waiting for them to...) you'll find that this can be a great teaching tool. Once you click on a specific grade level games, sites are organized based on concept and topic. I'm pretty sure you can make this work for ARMT +, just takes a little time and thinking outside of the box.
This site has resources for K-8. Click on your grade level on the left side and happy hunting! There are resources for all subject areas. I haven't checked out every link yet, but what I have found is very useful. Make sure you check out their Math resource page and check out the facts power points. (Power points already made for addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
If you haven't already seen this site, you can thank me later....This is my favorite place to find worksheets. Another plus is that they are saved as a pdf file, so you can easily open in most interactive board software and have the students complete interactively.

My second favorite place to find worksheets especially for Kindergarten and 1st grade!

A great (FREE) bookmarking site......if you are already a member look me up, I'm on symbaloo with some K-6 links of my favorite sites.

Still more posts to come and more to find ...
Enjoy the rest of your break!
Thanks for stopping by and please invite others to follow!

Interactive treasures

I would say these two sites are some favorites, but really all of the sites I share are. The first deals with my new found teaching tool, the Ipad. It has lists of some apps divided by categories(preschool etc.). I will soon post my own list of apps that I am currently using in the classroom. I'll have the handout on my school site and a link on the blog as well.

The next site is WONDERFUL!! It has interactive tools, centers, and games for K-5. Ever wanted a set of fraction bars that you can use on the smartboard? This site has it! Check it out, I'm sure you will come to love it as well!

Stay tuned...I have at least five more new posts coming in the next week. Please share with your friends! I would love to have more followers. If you need a site for something, let me know ;-) I may have one already! Thanks for reading and have fun with these new sites!
